With more than 10 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis, Christel is committed to helping Vanova and its clients leverage accurate, transparent financial data that guides sound decision-making benefitting patients and the bottom line. As both Director of Finance and Controller, she combines accounting expertise with strategic planning to help independent practices operate efficiently and improve care.

Christel began her career as an accountant and quality technician at Hoffman-La Roche in Montreal. She later served as Controller at Med-Com Career Training and as Financial Accountant at Signmasters Inc., managing audits and payroll, handling cash flow and bank reconciliations and maintaining reporting systems and compliance.
​
She also served as Financial Controller for Vanguard Medical Group, supporting 15 divisions. She led annual budgets, oversaw audits and financial controls, managed financial systems, developed business plans, reviewed contracts, and presented P&L and GAAP reporting to the CFO.

At Vanova Health, Christel oversees the accounting team while guiding budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across practices. She works directly with clients to interpret key performance metrics, evaluate staffing ratios, assess operational costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising care.

By breaking complex financial data into clear, practice-specific insights, she helps physicians balance revenue and cost management, protect their independence and improve care quality. She is known for looking at practices holistically, keeping in mind that each practice is unique and therefore requires a unique approach.

Fluent in English, French, and Arabic and highly proficient in SAP, ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel, Christel brings both technical skill and a strong focus on supporting practices in ways that truly make a difference, financially and clinically.
