As Chief Financial Officer of Vanova Health, a managed service organization, Michael (Mike) Castle brings a wealth of expertise in financial strategy, operational efficiency, and business transformation, particularly within the healthcare sector. His career spans roles and projects in healthcare technology, value-based organizations, and management services organizations, where he has consistently driven financial excellence and innovation. Before joining Vanova Health, he was a Partner at Wiss & Company, where he played a key role in shaping the firm’s advisory practice. He led strategic initiatives, provided CFO advisory services, and championed the adoption of AI-driven accounting solutions, enhancing operational efficiency. His expertise in transaction structuring, due diligence, and outsourced financial services made him a trusted advisor to venture capital and private equity-backed healthcare organizations.

Earlier in his career, Michael was an owner of Bond Andiola & Company, where he expanded service offerings before merging with Wiss.  Michael also had a key role at Summit Health Management where he was heavily involved in the creation of the management services organization and carve out from Summit Medical Group. He also held key accounting and finance positions at the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center, Stryker Corp, and KPMG, honing his skills in financial analysis, strategic planning, and audit.

With a deep understanding of the complexities of healthcare operations, Michael approaches financial leadership with the perspective of a business owner. Having run his own company, he knows firsthand the challenges of managing accounting, infrastructure, HR, billing, receivables, procurement, and cash flow. This experience allows him to engage with healthcare practices in a meaningful way, addressing their pain points and providing strategic guidance rooted in real-world challenges.

At Vanova Health, a managed service organization, Michael focuses on three core areas. For the Clinically Integrated Network, he helps enhance data sharing and collaboration across healthcare providers. In Practice Management & Financial Strategy, he partners with healthcare practices to optimize financial operations, contracting, and core business functions. In Growth & Technology Innovation, he identifies opportunities for practice acquisitions and leverages AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency both internally and externally.

A magna cum laude graduate of Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Michael is a member of the AICPA and NJSCPA.  He resides in New Jersey with his wife and family, maintaining strong ties to the region both personally and professionally.
